Ocular has successfully designed and manufactured touch panel and LCD display products for a wide variety of highly challenging applications such as gas pumps, Point of Sale (POS) terminals, outdoor utility meters, high security access controls (for the US Department of Defense), automotive instrumentation clusters, medical devices, sonar fish finders and other applications for vertical markets where display performance and product reliability are mission-critical.

Optical bonding enhances a display product’s clarity, durability and ability to perform in extreme environmental conditions. Ocular has teamed with DuPont Display Enhancements and has licensed the use of DuPont’s Vertak® optical adhesive to provide optical bonding of our touch panel products, displays or glass cover plates. This process is available for a wide array of screen sizes and display types.

Ocular can design and manufacture a custom, sealed enclosure with the appropriate touch panel technology for almost any application, including those that are deployed in the harshest environments. Ocular has designed and manufactured display-centric solutions for a number of demanding applications, including the industrial, marine, and automotive industries. Based on extensive experience in manufacturing LCD and touch panel technologies, Ocular can quickly identify and customize the right touch panel technology for demanding applications while optimizing the optical characteristics to produce the high quality display image the application demands.

Ocular has over twenty years of display enhancement expertise. Ocular can provide chemically strengthened, anti-glare and anti-reflective glass bonding for touch panel and TFT displays. We have also designed high brightness LCD backlighting systems, heater-bonded LCDs for systems that must operate at extremely low temperatures, shock-mounted LCD and encapsulated LCD for harsh environmental operating applications. Because of these capabilities Ocular can deliver touch panel and LCD products with reliability and performance that are truly unmatched in the industry.
